Galapagos
Islands, Ecuador
Our destination was the Galapagos Islands and our flight was to depart at 9:30 AM. I couldn’t have been more excited about getting out of dreary-cold-rainy-high altitude Quito. I was disappointed that the Galapagos looked so bland. We were landing on Baltra Island. Yes, it was just a small chunk of brown earth with a runway. (by Heather Blumberg) |

"This was pretty much a perfect day,” said Rob Braddick of South Ayrshire, Scotland, as he toweled off, face glistening with the last of the days sun. Aspen,
Colorado
The Rocky Mountains surrounding Aspen, Colorado are indeed stoically placed and, it would seem, very unmoving. But that is an illusion. They are very much alive. They draw one, as Mohammed was drawn, to their grandeur. But the destination is always at the end of the journey, and this journey was filled with fun and adventure. Comfort and luxury. In short, the perfect outing. (by Jacquie Kubin) |

Sunrise
Springs Spa, New Mexico
Oasis. Sunrise Springs Spa is a seventy (70) acre oasis that radiates calm. The red rock sand and dust is a constant reminder that we are, indeed, in New Mexico’s desert country. We stand upon the rich soil that is the meeting place of the Rio Grande Basin and La Cienega Valley. The Sangre de Cristo Mountains can be seen from the resort grounds that include two spring-fed ponds, walking paths and a very special Japanese Tea Garden amongst its many treasures.
